Colleen Rutledge

Colleen Rutledge is an international level event rider who excels at creating partnerships with her horses to compete at all levels, from just starting out, to reaching the highest levels. She uses this skill to help her students of all levels to understand horse care, safety and how to create and achieve their own riding goals.
Colleen currently holds the record as being the first person to complete the five Northern Hemisphere 5* events (Kentucky-USA, Badminton-GBR, Burghley-GBR, Pau- FRA and Luhmühlen-GER) on the same horse- Shiraz (Luke) and all of these with no penalties cross country.
She made her US Equestrian Team debut in 2015 riding her homebred Covert Rights (CR) at the World Equestrian Festival in CHIO Aachen (Ger). She and CR also competed with the US Eventing Team in 2022 and brought home the team Gold from Bromont (CAN).
In addition to Eventing, Colleen is also a high level show jumper and silver medal dressage rider. She is a lifelong US Pony Club member who earned her A Traditional certification. All of this experience gives Colleen the unique ability to understand how to help students brand new to riding all the way up to getting students prepared for high level competition.
Cassandra Rutledge
Cassandra Rutledge is Colleen's oldest daughter and leads the barn team. She has been riding most of her 21 years and is a C2 certified Pony Club member. She is also an active USEA and USHJA member doing various competitions through the year. She is the perfect teacher for those brand new to horses. The barn always teaches safety first and then caring for your horse as a way to move into the riding portion of lessons.
